This weekend we pause to reflect on the sacrifice made by those who paid the ultimate price on behalf of our Nation. We pray that their sacrifices are never forgotten, nor the pain of their families. We know that freedom comes at a cost. We pray to be a community willing to pay the cost to pursue freedom, justice and peace in our world.
“This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you.
Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.” John 15: 12-13
Our purpose simply put; loving God, serving others, doing no harm.

Dear Church Family:
Sunday we will gather for Memorial Day Weekend Worship. We will pause to exalt our great God and to thank Him for those who have given their lives for our freedoms. The service will also be
livestreamed on our Facebook site. Worship will include Hymns~ For the Healing of the Nations; and Let There Be Peace On Earth. We will also sing the Praise and Worship songs: Open the Eyes of My Heart; and Cornerstone.
This Spring we’ve been talking about
The Kingdom of God, one of the most important yet often misunderstood topics in the Gospels, and a concept that Jesus talked about repeatedly. Sunday I will ask the question: What Does a Kingdom Church Look Like?  As our church considers how we can emerge into new season of blessings following the Covid-19 Pandemic it is essential that we know what a New Testament Kingdom Church is supposed to look like. The pattern that all Bible based churches should seek to follow.
Following our Worship you are invited to join us for our weekly Prayer-Connect-Gathering in person/Sanctuary or on Zoom (as posted below) where we share our joys and concerns and take time to pray for our World, our Church and for our community.
This last week Jeanie and I took a week of vacation to visit South Carolina to scout out Myrtle Beach for a group tour in 2022. We had a wonderful time of relaxation in the sun. It’s important that we all set aside time to spend with our family and loved ones. Regular Sabbath rest (which includes all times of rest) is God’s plan for your life!
May God Richly Bless you this Memorial Day weekend.  Pastor David

How Does The Finance Team Work?  This team is all volunteer.  We are NOT paid staff and we do not have any office hours.  Most of the work is remote and done from home with internet, on-line banking, etc.
  1. Money Counters - Sandy L, Craig B, and Cyndi Z. count the money and make a report given to Darlene A. the Financial Secretary. All gifts-offerings need to go through the Money Counters via the church office, Facebook donate, or the website donate buttons.  The Counters usually count and make a deposit either Sunday after church or on Wednesday morning.
  2. Financial Secretary- Darlene A - records the giving and makes sure everyone gets credit for their gifts-offerings. Darlene does not touch money. She documents giving. If you have questions on your quarterly statement, please contact Darlene.
  3. Treasurer / Finance Chair: Linda E also does not touch money. The Counters and Financial Secretary are concerned with money coming in. As the Treasurer, Linda is concerned with the money expenditures – funds going out. Linda is typically at church on Thursday mornings 8a -10a for Cleaning Ministry and Sunday mornings for Worship when not out-of-town traveling.
If you need to contact Linda or have questions, please call or text her at 651-226-4556 or email  treasurer@mtbethelchurchigh.org
Blessings to everyone ~ Your Finance Chair & Treasurer, Linda Emerson
