Events in local sustainability this June
Farm days

There's lots to do at the farm now the weather is getting warmer!

We meet at the Community Farm or the Community Orchard in Poundbury on
Sunday afternoons at around 2pm

After all this rain, the weeds have exploded, and there are a lot of things to plant out in the outside raised beds.  There is also masses of grass to be cut around the site - come with shears or a scythe.

The site is large and it is easy to socially distance.  Email us if you'd like to come along.

Tree Weeding Day
Saturday 29 May
at 11am

(this weekend!)
Meet outside the Community Farm gate
Bring a small fork or trowel for weeding around small trees.
Actually, it's a hedge weeding day, as part of National Hedgerow Week.  Many of you came out to help us plant trees in 2020, but it doesn't end there!
The trees need weeding, and this is where you can help.
Hedges are wonderful things, and form the UK's largest wildlife habitat.  They play a huge part in our landscape and cultural heritage and are crucially important for halting biodiversity decline.  (Tree Council 2021)
Railway Orchard

We will meet on Saturday 5th June at 11am.
Now that No Mow May is over, there is plenty of grass to cut - bring shears or scythes.

Green drinks
Perhaps not quite yet!
But one of these days we will be back to our Thursday night gatherings.
