CLUNO. Germany's No.01 car subscription provider Cluno joins British online car dealer Cazoo ahead of its public debut. This acquisition makes Munich the new hub of Cazoo's expansion on the continent: The Times. Set up in 2018, the UK dealer is now getting ready to be listed in the US at a $7bn valuation: Bloomberg
HOMETOGO. Public debut, part II - Lakestar I SE, a Luxembourg special purpose acquisition company, has published a letter of intent to acquire or assume 100% of the outstanding equity of HomeToGo. The global search engine for vacation rentals stands to benefit from the reopening as the pandemic recedes: Reuters
KNIX. "CEO nixes involvement of any investor who questioned her pregnancy" - Knix from 🇨🇦 closed a C$53 mn round by TZP Group, Acton and several business angels to further expand in North America. SOFATUTOR. Great news from Berlin: the most comprehensive digital learning platform in the German-speaking market has been acquired by a consortium of PE firms. Congrats to Stephan and the whole team! We have accompanied Sofatutor for nearly one decade and will be cheering them on for the next exciting growth phase ahead: Gründerszene
LINAS MATKASSE. Public debut, part III: After a record year, Sweden's meal kit pioneer has completed a successful IPO on Nasdaq Stockholm. Linas has enabled families to enjoy healthy dinner kits at home. We're proud to have supported the team all along on their way to become the Nordic's leading provider: Dagens Industri.

INSIGHTS.

MAMBU. Our European FinTech-SaaS investment stayed under the radar, until earlier this year: in a big bang, co-founder Eugene Danilkis announced the successful closing of a $135M Series D (at a $2B+ valuation) and his plans for 1,000 ‘Mambuvians’ in offices around the globe. On (virtual) stage: Like every year, the annual German Startup Awards 2021 hosted by the German Startups Association named the rising stars of the national ecosystem - via livestream from Berlin. This year, Elisabeth joined the jury to select Germany's up- &-comers in the startup scene: review.
On (virtual) stage, part II: Hosted by Plug'nPlay & CDTM, and co-organized with our colleagues from HV Capital & Ananda Ventures,  Tom joined the very first Sustainability Summit DACH, a virtual meetup of the key players in the region. His insights and full overview of the "Sustainability Landscape DACH" via the Acton Angle.
Reduce & rethink: "It's very frightening", "There's plastic everywhere" - wrapping-up our #noplasticwaste challenge 2021. Inspired by the  LFCA initiative, we kicked off a two-week no-plastics-experiment with startup teams from 🇩🇪, 🇫🇷, 🇬🇧, 🇫🇮, 🇳🇴 & 🇸🇪. Together, we managed to reduce the plastic consumption by +60% in total.
New talents: Meet the creative head behind latest projects like the #noplasticwaste challenge: our visiting analyst Marcel Seger worked hard to motive senior colleagues as well as portfolio teams to contribute. Marcel is in the last quarter of his master studies at TU Munich & is complementing his practical expertise in the industry.
