The HLM is an important moment in the HIV response for young people. It is an opportunity for countries to commit on tackling the critical challenges young people face to access live-saving support and services required to end aids and uphold their rights, health and well-being.

The HLM Advocacy Toolkit for Young People

This guide was developed to provide young people with information and guidance on what is and how to engage in the High-Level Meeting on HIV & AIDS that will take place from 8-10 June at the United Nations General Assembly. The intended audience of this Guide are young activists and youth-led organizations working on HIV and SRHR at all levels of the response, especially those key populations most affected by HIV.

Living with HIV In Thailand & Seeking Justice at the Same Time.

The PACT was in conversation with Pete Thitiwatt, who since 2018- have been sharing his experiences and life about what it means to be HIV positive, seeking equality, and living in between acceptance and rejection.

Not only should young people in all our diversity be involved in the planning and strategizing, but we must also be involved in the implementation and monitoring and evaluation of services. Young people must also be fairly compensated for our inputs and paid to lead HIV programming for true meaningful youth engagement and supported youth leadership.

We Want to Hear from Our Members in Uganda

The PACT, in partnership with Sexual Rights Initiative, are working to produce and submit report to the UN Human Rights Council through the Universal Periodic Review process. We are seeking PACT member organisations in Uganda who may be interested in highlighting human rights issues in their country to support with the drafting of this report. A small honorarium may be available for participation. If you/your organisation is interested, please email contactyouthpact@gmail.com. You participation can either by anonymous or credited.”

Ending Inequalities with Style

The 2021 high-level meeting will be the springboard for a decade of action to reduce inequalities and root out the social determinants that fuel the HIV epidemic.
