Dear <<Full Name>>,

The second quarter of the year is typically a project-intensive period for the 3CL and all the more so this year. We're working with partners across the globe to add value to people making a difference in education and technology. And we continue to forge alliances to make the Foundation sustainable for the longer term.

The 3CL Foundation has just signed a memorandum of understanding with AcrossLimits, a consulting firm specialising in EU projects. This ushers in more opportunities to extend our international networks.
DEL4ALL Horizon 2020 Update

On the 30th of April 2021, 3CL hosted a DEL4ALL Thematic workshop focusing on the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in everyday life and the changes underway for educators and learners. The workshop also addressed the impact of Machine learning (ML) on education systems and research and how digital games may improve the learning experience by promoting adaptation, problem-solving and critical thinking skills. You can access the webinar replay and a synopsis of the event here

As part of the DEL4ALL project, we have developed our next survey focusing on emerging education technologies and their usage, benefits, obstacles, and social impacts on educators and learners in the COVID-19 era. Please share your experience with us by filling up our questionnaire, open until 28th May 2021. We appreciate your participation.

DEL4ALL will be among the 180 special lectures and discussion forums on digital learning in six parallel live broadcasts over three days of LearnTech Xchange from the 22nd of June till the 24th of June 2021. DEL4ALL partners, led by Fraunhofer FIT, will introduce the project outcomes and organise several breakout rooms for discussion on the DEL Online Aggregator, the research work carried out in the first year of the project, and discussions on emerging technologies vs pedagogy on the 24th of June 2021.

One Planet, One Health

A year on since the start of SARS-CoV-2 pandemic is an opportunity to reflect on the linkages of the so-called 5Ps of Sustainable Development - People, Prosperity, Planet, Partnership and Peace. The concept behind One Planet embodies the 5Ps and exposes the dependencies in between.

In a related guest post on our blog to mark the upcoming World Environment Day on 5 June, John Paul Cauchi, an environmental health researcher, medical doctor and Ph.D in climate change, food security and health, explores the concept of 'One Health'. This recognises that we cannot divorce the natural world from the man-made world, arguing that should the natural world not function properly, one can expect negative impacts on the human ecosystem.
