Beyond the Blueprint Update
California June 15 Reopening
California recently announced the details of the state's full reopening plan. Beginning June 15, 2021, businesses will be able to return to usual operations with limited exceptions for mega events. The updated framework clarifies that physical distancing and capacity limitations will no longer be required for most businesses. Read more here.

Employers are subject to the Cal/OSHA COVID-19 Prevention Emergency Temporary Standards (ETS), if applicable to them.

Restrictions Applying to Indoor & Outdoor Settings
  • Vaccine Verification / Negative Testing
    • Required for Indoor mega events
    • Recommended for Outdoor mega events
  • Capacity Limitations - No restrictions
  • Physical Distancing - No restrictions for attendees, customers and guests
  • Masking - Follow current CDPH Guidance for Face Coverings
  • Travelers - Follow CDC recommendations and CDPH Travel Advisory
The state also announced a new Employer Vaccination Toolkit, which will create a new process for employers to request a workplace clinic or local provider partner, making COVID-19 vaccines even more accessible for their employees. See online request form. The toolkit will also provide employers with vaccine education materials, COVID-19 Supplemental Paid Sick Leave information, and other employee guidance.
Introducing Gift Pleasanton
Pleasanton's Community eGift Card Program

Gift Pleasanton is launching in June to help businesses reactivate and recover from the effects of the pandemic. We encourage you to sign up today to be part of this exciting program – which keeps spending local and benefits our shops and restaurants in Pleasanton.

How it works:
  1. Beginning in June, e-gift cards will be available to purchase online at www.inPleasanton.com.
  2. Once purchased, the customer will receive the e-gift card via email and can redeem on their mobile device or printed at any participating merchant.
  3. To accept the e-gift cards as payment, merchants are asked to sign up for the program. Participating businesses will then process a key-entry (like a phone order) Mastercard, and are paid through their credit card bank as a settlement, with a Mastercard CNP processing fee.
The e-gift cards only work at participating merchants, so we encourage you to confirm your participation today. There is no cost to participate in the program. Once we receive confirmation that you would like to be included in the program as a participating business, Yiftee, our technology partner, will send you an email (the “Activation Card”) to run a 10-cent charge (or your minimum charge) on a prepaid Mastercard. This is your authorization to participate and agreement to terms noted in the Yiftee Merchant Agreement. Please confirm your participation as soon as possible in order to take the necessary steps to be up and running. Click the box below to sign up. The City is offering introductory bonuses to encourage the community to purchase e-gift cards, i.e. buy a $25 gift card, get $10 bonus, and more.
