Hello, friends! I skipped the newsletter last week. In general, I try to announce a skip in the previous week, but the reality is that I generally decide last minute to skip. In most cases it's a combination of "not enough content" and "not enough GAF". This time was no different.

In the last newsletter, I talked about how it's okay to not be okay. I am slightly more okay this week. Or maybe it's more accurate to say that I'm okay, but my grasp on it is very tenuous. My kids are now officially on summer vacation, which means once I drop off their supplies tomorrow morning, we are done with e-learning. (Hopefully I can find the missing iPad charger in the next 24 hours). That should help. I've also shed some non-essential load at work, which I have mixed feelings about. I love the Fedora community and I want to be able to do more, but I just can't right now. So I'll have to trust that things will be just fine without me (they will, of course).

The main stress at this point (well, the main one I'll talk about publicly) is playing catch up on my book. I got several pages of feedback from the Big Bosses at Pragmatic Bookshelf on my first three chapters. The feedback is largely positive, which is nice. They have some good suggestions on how to improve what I've written. But now I have to figure out which suggestions I'm going to implement and how. Also, I should probably finish the chapter I started like a month and a half ago. My schedule calls for a chapter about every three weeks, so the buffer that I had built for myself is now gone. I really hope to make some progress again. My calendar is clear this weekend, so I'll spend a lot of it trying to get some content cranked out.

In the meantime, happy birthday to my increasingly-misnamed Baby Fiasco and Babier Fiasco, who turn 10 and 7 this week!
