And just like that...it was June

June marks a significant transition for our church.  As you may know, we're now functioning under a new set of guidelines related to COVID-19 (check our website for the complete document).  Beginning June 6, Bible study for all ages--preschool, children, and youth--will again be a Sunday morning, in-house reality.  Anticipate other ways in which Layton will regather next month.  A class for younger adults is beginning that Sunday, and the Walking With Wisdom Senior Adult Ministry will host its annual cookout on Friday, June 18.

We're not so naive as to think that everything we put our hands to will be an instant success.  A pandemic of some fifteen months takes a toll on any organization, including churches.  But by God's grace, your prayerful support, and diligent cooperation, Layton is going to see a new day.  Last summer in preaching from the Book of Joel, I was especially moved by the promise of the Lord in 2:25, that He would repay the people for the years that swarms of locusts had devoured their crops.  I felt like God was giving us this verse.  Let's claim it now, make it a theme of our prayers, and work towards it.  Pastor Keith Cogburn

Sunday, June 6
As noted above, Bible study for ALL ages returns at 9:30 AM.  Preschoolers, children, and youth will all have classes.  Let's strive to start well.
Please take the time to read Layton's updated statement regarding precautions related to the spread of COVID-19. Put simply, mask-wearing is now optional for everyone, whether or not you've been vaccinated.

Donations can be dropped off in the church lobby.
Layton offers two online prayer gatherings: Monday evenings at 6:30 PM, led by Howi Kok; and 10:00 AM each Wednesday morning, led by Pastor Keith.

Links to join these gatherings are easily accessible on the church's webpage.
