Meat: The Future?

New research from the LEAP (Livestock Environment and People) project at the University of Oxford has revealed the cost to us and the planet of keeping so much meat on the menu.

This kick-off event will be a conversation about scale in the food system. It will centre on perhaps one of the most complex questions around food and sustainability: At what scale should the food system operate? In other words, should the future food system be more globalised or localised, and why?

The third webinar on food system impact valuation in June 2021 will consider examples from leading companies on how the true cost of food is being reflected in the corporate accounting and reporting of the food sector.

This challenging new exhibition will give visitors some serious food for thought about how the production and consumption of animal products affect people and planet.

LEAP Conference 6th December 2021

The fourth LEAP conference, sponsored by the Wellcome Trust Our Planet Our Health programme, will take place on the 6th December 2021. This year we hope to have a virtual and in-person event, at the Mathematical Institute in Oxford.
