May 31-June 4 Activities Canceled
 This next week many members of CHLC will be traveling to North Carolina for a renewal trip to attend a seminar led by Ken Ham. As a result, normal weekday activities (youth group and bible studies) WILL BE CANCELED. They will be gone from May 31-June 4. Please pray for their safe travel to and from North Carolina, and that everyone would be uplifted and renewed as they enjoy the relaxation and fellowship.

Grace Day VII will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Festus on Saturday, August 7, 2021.
Our Grace Day Volunteer deadline is approaching soon! The last day for volunteer sign up is May 31, and we are still in need of volunteers in many areas to make our event successful again this year!

In our world today there are many questions that people want to know, such as:
- Is the Bible reliable?
- How can I know Jesus is God among so many other religions?
- Doesn't science disprove the Bible?
- How can I know that I did not evolve from a monkey?
- And many more...
As Christians, it is important we are able to defend our faith and help somebody come to know Jesus. Come join Pastor's new Apologetics Bible Study and learn how to answer those questions and ask a few of your own.

 This is an easy way to help our church meet its secondary budget needs with our "Pick A Petal board. These are small items that get used frequently and often in our day-to-day operations. Check out the bulletin board in the Narthex by the basement stairs and pick a petal. Each spring flower petal reminds us of our new life in Christ and also has a need for the church listed on it.
If you're able to help, bring the item you pick back to church and put it on the table by the coffee cart. We'll secure the items and distribute to the appropriate ministries as needed. Thank you very much your support.

What does this mean? God tempts no one. We pray in this petition that God would guard and keep us so that the devil, the world, and our sinful nature may not deceive us or mislead us into false belief, despair, and other great shame and vice. Although we are attacked by these things, we pray that we may finally overcome them and win the victory.
