Kia Ora Koutou!
I'm not sure about you, but it already feels like this year is moving at a quicker pace than I'd like it to!
I trust that your year has begun well, and that you are settling into a good routine as we work our way through the first term.
There is lots to look forward to in the children's ministry space, and I encourage you to explore the resources and ideas shared below.
Next week marks the beginning of Lent. I pray that as faith communities journey through this season, there would be opportunities to engage all generations in reflecting on this special time in our liturgical calendar.
I pray too, that as children's ministry programmes get going for the year, that there would be a sense of God's provision and guidance on all aspects of your ministry with children.

Noho ora mai,
Karo

LENT AND EASTER RESOURCES

Wandering Through Lent
This is a fantastic resource for families. Your whānau are invited to go on a journey through nature together, wandering and wondering about the world around you, and the nature of God. With an activity for each week of Lent, this is an easy, achievable way for families to connect with God and with each other.

40 Days of Lent
The 40 Days of Lent resource contains 40 challenges for your family to complete together, including acts of service, bible engagement, prayer and time together. There is also an awesome colouring page to complete!

Family Faith Moments
We have created a series of Family Faith Moments to help celebrate Holy Week and Eastertide. With a reflection, questions, bible reading, activity and prayer, they are perfect for family devotions, or to adapt for use in a ministry setting.

SAFETY WARRANT OF FITNESS
March 4th, 11th and 18th

We are once again holding the Warrant of Fitness training online. This interactive and informative training is mandatory for anyone working with children and young people in ministries of PCANZ churches. If you have yet to complete the training, we recommend you sign up to participate in the next cycle of training happening in March.

GREAT READ

Children's Ministry in the Way of Jesus
by David Csinos and Ivy Beckwith

If you haven't come across this fantastic book, I highly recommend reading it. Csinos and Beckwith draw on research in human development and spiritual formation to show how children become disciples, and churches can become centres of lifelong discipleship.
Children's Ministry in the Way of Jesus is available to loan from the Hewitson library, or you can purchase the e-book from Amazon.

ENGAGE WORSHIP

I recently discovered a fantastic website, full of wonderful resources for engaging all generations in worship together. Engage Worship provides a range of ideas for corporate worship, prayer, scripture reading and much more, and could be useful for those seeking to incorporate intergenerational worship elements to their faith gatherings.
