Here is another email from a student that is also using Mike's Online Course to build his electric guitar.
I would like to congratulate you both for the excellent electric guitar course. I’ve seen almost half of the lessons, and I could say it’s very good: Building 2 different guitars its really amazing cause the process is real different. Several different techniques, power tools and hand tools are used. You don’t shortcut the steps, it’s really step by step. In my simple reasoning, I thought that with an experience in acoustic guitar was enough to build an electric guitar. It helps a lot, but this video really completes my needs in terms of ideas and possibilities of techniques. And Mike’s enthusiasm about hand planes and more controlled tools (especially hand tools) for me it’s important, because building guitars it’s a hobby at this point, so investments in tools can be less expensive.
Mike makes it look easy as he guides you through every step of making a high end electric guitar. Check out the complete course available at the Lutherie Academy.
Happy Building!
