Celebrate ‘Fiber Arts Education Day’ at the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum
BISMARCK, N.D. – Discover the art and history of fiber crafts at “Fiber Arts Education Day” on Friday, March 14, 12:30-5 p.m. at the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum, Bismarck. This free family-friendly event invites participants of all ages to explore the intricate process of transforming fibers into fabric and quilts through engaging, hands-on activities. No registration is required.
At interactive stations, learn how to card raw fibers, turn fibers into thread and dye it, weave thread into fabric, design quilt patterns, and sew quilt pieces together.
The ND Capital Quilters will host an open quilt show March 14-16 in celebration of National Quilting Day. Celebrate with fellowship, sharing, and learning by viewing the quilts on display throughout the weekend or participate in open sewing Saturday, March 15, 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Learn more on their website, bit.ly/national-quilting-day.
