This past weekend, we officially celebrated the grand opening of Broxton Plaza, the largest pedestrian plaza in Los Angeles. What was once a one-way street is now a vibrant 14,000 sq. ft. community gathering space, complete with new seating, twinkle lights, turf, games, and more.
The celebration included a ribbon cutting ceremony with local officials, performances by the UCLA Spirit Squad and Marching Band, a free roller skating area, a car demo with Waymo, and a boba giveaway to the first 100 attendees. We had great attendance for the event, with hundreds of people flocking to Westwood Village to celebrate this massive achievement.
Over the past few months, the plaza has already hosted outdoor movie nights, markets, live music, and seasonal festivities, and this is just the beginning. The 2025 events lineup will continue to bring dynamic programming designed to reflect and engage the Westwood community.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this exciting milestone, and all the local businesses that participated to make this event extra special. We look forward to making Broxton Plaza a hub for connection, culture, and community in Westwood Village.
