Matthew 8:24-26 says, “Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!” He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.”

Sometimes life can feel like a never-ending cascade of things that are out of our control, and it is easy to get discouraged, especially coming to the end of a winter like we have this year.  It’s important to remember that God is above and before every storm in your life.  In the words of Mark Hall from the band Casting Crowns, “Who am I, that the voice that calmed the sea would call out through the rain and calm the storm in me?” We aren’t worthy of the love and grace that God gives us, but that’s the beauty of it, God gives His grace, mercy, and peace no matter who you are.  This week Pastor Brad will be talking about dealing with doubt, and I’m looking forward to worshiping with you Sunday!

Come prepared to give Him glory!

Pastor Jordan
