News and Announcements

  • Coordinating Helene response efforts: The President’s office is convening a cross-university group to coordinate, communicate and maximize the impact of our shared efforts to respond to Hurricane Helene. To aid in that work, if your student organization (or other student group) is undertaking any efforts in support of hurricane relief, please have one person from the group complete this form to describe those efforts. For resources and information, please also visit our Outreach website.
  • Support, resources available for WFU community in response to Helene: Events of this scope and severity affect us all in different ways. Find resources through We are Wake by calling 336-758-CARE (2273) or visit we.wfu.edu for a full list. If you are concerned about yourself or others, you can submit a referral to Wake Forest’s CARE Team. Read President Wente’s message about Helene.
  • Supporting our commitment to a community free of discrimination, harassment and retaliation: The Office of Institutional Equity (OIE) was established to support Wake Forest’s commitment to providing an education and work environment free from discrimination, harassment and retaliation. The office serves as a centralized location for faculty, staff, and students to find appropriate resources, education and training for preventing and reporting conduct prohibited under the University’s Policy on Discrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation. Find out more about the services OIE provides, reporting obligations and options, and resources available to members of the Wake Forest community.
  • Student Expression: Using your voice to amplify important issues and perspectives can be a valuable part of learning at Wake Forest. As students and student groups consider potential plans for demonstrations, chalking, and posting activities, Wake Forest encourages reviewing the University’s policy through this explanatory website. The policy provides expectations for our campus community interested in engaging in acts of free expression and peaceful assembly.
  • Free, walk-up flu shot clinics: 10/7, 10/8. 10/24.
  • Campus Memorialization Update: Last May, we updated the community on the work of the Campus Memorialization Project. Members of the Baskervill design team will be on campus to share conceptual themes for the Memorial and gather feedback from members of our institution. Each presentation will start with an overview of the project, followed by a presentation of the conceptual themes Baskervill is proposing and a facilitated discussion. Learn more.
