Essential Conversations: The Sin of Christian Nationalism

Tuesday, October 15 | 3 - 5 p.m. PST

What is Christian nationalism, and why is it more important than ever for our communities of faith to engage in conversations about it? Join a distinguished panel of scholars and bishops for a webinar to discuss Christian nationalism and learn why the House of Bishops Theology Committee of The Episcopal Church has called it “the gravest and most dangerous sin of today.” The webinar will also mark the publication of the new book The Crisis of Christian Nationalism: Report from the House of Bishops Theology Committee by Church Publishing Incorporated.

From Rev. Carol

This will be my last note to you as your every Sunday priest. I want most of all to thank you for making the last 6-1/2 months a rich time of growth. You have directed me well. Your lives, your questions, your participation have been, and will continue to be, invaluable.

I remember the first day I walked through the doors. It occurred to me as I made my way to my seat at the St. Aidan window, that those who have stayed in church while so many others have left possess a deep, if sometimes unspoken, sense of the value of the life of Christ and the Church. You have shown what that life aspires to and how, step by step, to get there.

Meanwhile, I’m looking forward to less administration and more time to hang out with my best friends.

See you Sunday!
