2024 Network-wide Annual Research Conference
The 2024 Alaska INBRE Network-wide Annual Research Conference (NARC) was held in beautiful Talkeetna, Alaska, September 27-29. It began with a student workshop, led by core leaders Kristin O'Brien, Holly Martinson and Jonathan Stecyk, followed by a welcome BBQ for all of the nearly 100 participants. Weekend activities included a Keynote by Brian Barnes, pilot project and core facilities presentations, three poster sessions, and a lively 3-Minute-Madness, where students have only 3 minutes to pitch their research. We were pleased to have three of the four members of our External Advisory Committee (EAC) present - Amie Lund, chair; Jay Butler, Carolee Dodge Francis, and Edwin Oh. Thank you to all who participated in this fun weekend of great science and networking in one of the most gorgeous locations on the planet!
