Friends of The Happy Lungs Project,

I recently wrote a letter to newly diagnosed cancer patients. As it’s Lung Cancer Awareness Month, I also wanted to share it with you. I hope it brings help and hope to all who need it.

When I was diagnosed with RET-positive non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), my youngest daughter was only 7 years old, and the statistics were grim. Yet here I am today—very alive and very healthy—and it’s been over 5 years! As I said in my blog post:

I appreciate the moments, the people, and the experiences in my life in a way that I never did before.

In addition to Lung Cancer Awareness Month, November begins the traditional season of gratitude. I want to take this opportunity to thank you for supporting The Happy Lungs Project. We exist because you donate. Thank you!

You should have received a save-the-date for our upcoming RET Research Update webinar. I’m really looking forward to hearing from our funded researchers about research advances in RET-positive NSCLC.

After you register, the webinar details and Zoom link will be emailed to you.

I hope you’ll join me to learn how your investment in The Happy Lungs Project is making a difference for lung cancer survivors like me and so many others.

With love and light,

Ilana Stromberg
