Welcome to the November Nillumbik eNews.

Voting has closed in the council elections, and the Victorian Electoral Commission is counting the votes. We expect the successful candidates to be declared on Friday 8 November, with the new Mayor and Deputy Mayor to be elected later in the month.

Keep an eye on our website and social media to meet your new councillors.

In this edition of eNews, read about the capital works projects currently underway across the Shire, how you can prepare your property for the bushfire season, and upgrades to the Hurstbridge War Memorial ahead of Remembrance Day.

There's an abundance of events in November. The much-loved Rotary Eltham Festival and the Night on the Hill in Panton Hill, proudly supported by Nillumbik Shire Council, always deliver on community fun and festivities.
