Canada Post is experiencing labour disruption, which may impact mail delivery service to and from UTM. Inter-campus courier service between St. George and UTM is not affected and will continue. Learn more

Dany Savard has accepted the position as chief librarian at U of T Mississauga’s library for a renewable five-year term starting on Jan.1, 2025. He has served as UTM’s interim chief librarian since March 2024, during which time he has, among many other things, co-chaired the campus’ digital scholarship working group, developed UTML’s new annual team-wide workplan, and led proposals to re-design UTML’s special collections space.
Jane Stirling, executive director of communications, UTM, has agreed to extend her secondment to the position of executive director, internal communications, UTC (St. George) until April 7, 2025. During her secondment at the St. George campus, Stirling continues to serve as special advisor, communications, to UTM Vice-President & Principal Alexandra Gillespie.
Amanda Pautler’s secondment as UTM’s interim executive director of public affairs has also been extended to align with Stirling’s new term. In this capacity, Pautler continues to lead both UTM’s communications and external relations teams, and to provide strategic support to the Office of the Principal.
Patricia Lonergan is now UTM’s Director of Communications and Marketing. She had been serving in the role on an interim basis earlier this year and has made a strong impression with her sound, strategic leadership.
Professor Michael Lettieri has accepted the position of special advisor to the Dean and Vice-Dean, Faculty on Academic Leadership Development through June 30, 2025.An emeritus professor of Italian at UTM’s department of language studies, he served as vice-dean, academic experience; acting vice-dean, undergraduate; chair of the department of language studies; and associate dean, humanities, among other key roles.
