Staying Grounded, Staying Aloft   Rev. Dr. Kate Walker

One area where science and religion agree is the power of communal rhythm and music-making. To sing and move together is to invite resilience and groundedness into our bodies. Come join us in these practices of sustenance.

Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank is November’s Share the Plate charity!

Food is a basic human need, yet thousands of our neighbors struggle to have enough food on their plates every day. At Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, we work to ensure that anyone who needs a healthy meal can get one. The Mission of the Food Bank is to leverage the power of the community to achieve lasting solutions to hunger and its root causes. The Vision of the Food Bank is to see a future with communities where everyone has access to the food and resources they need to thrive. Art in the Undercroft
The Julius Schwartz Art Exhibit is currently hanging in the Undercroft Gallery. The Exhibit lights up the Gallery!! There is much more work than we could hang, so there is work to touch sitting under the Undercroft's windows. The Schwartz family would like the work to find good homes so you can buy a piece or many pieces reasonably and take your ex-art pieces home on the spot.

December quilt show is happening next in the Undercroft. We want to hang your quilts. Come with your quilts on Saturday morning, November 30, at 10:30 am. (Ready to hang - quilts need hanging sleeves on the back) The show opens Sunday morning, December 1, with a reception and an accompanying quilt sale.

The famous Members and Friends Photo Exhibit is looking for photos. The Exhibit will hang in January. All of us are encouraged to submit one of our works. There is a box in the Garden Lobby and a box in the Undercroft for your photos. More information is on the website. Questions? Contact: Joe Jencik (josjencik@gmail.com) or Kirsti Adkins (kirstiadkins323@gmail.com)
