Have your say on UTM's infrastructure
The UTM community is asked to participate in a Facilities Management & Planning survey to establish acceptable levels of service for campus elements such as roads, sidewalks, water, stormwater and sanitary systems. The results will help develop a Linear Asset Management Plan (LAMP) of management strategies for UTM’s infrastructure. Participants will have the chance to win one of five $20 UTM Food Services gift cards. Read more
Asbestos survey comes to Davis Nov. 25-27
The annual William G. Davis Building asbestos-containing materials condition re-assessment will run from Nov. 25 to 27. A walkthrough will take place to perform visual non-intrusive inspections, with minimal disruptions to building occupants. Campus Safety will provide escort and access to applicable departmental spaces. Tours of the New Science Building are being held on Nov. 26 at 10 a.m. and Nov. 27 at 3 p.m. Tours will start at the main entrance off Outer Circle Road.

ReWritten project explores Melville and Hawthorne
This November, the ReWritten project is coming to the University of Toronto as part of a collaboration with a UTM English & Drama course. Co-created by Matthew Cumbie and Tom Truss, ReWritten reflects on the intimate relationship between 19th-century American writers Herman Melville and Nathaniel Hawthorne to explore queerness, history, intimacy and the written word. The series includes a drop-in chat with the creative team, hosted at CDRS on Nov. 27 from 12:30 to 2 p.m., and a live performance, which will take place in the MiST Theatre on Nov. 29 from 7 to 9 p.m.Register in advance.Learn more
