Music of the Seasons - Winter Pleasures

Instructor: Judith Costello
Monday, December 2 & 9, 2024 - 11:30AM - 1PM - Online

Although our Atlanta winters don’t usually bring many opportunities for outdoor ice skating or building snowmen, we can celebrate traditional winter activities through classical music selections. In a short two-week course, we’ll go on musical sleigh rides through the atmospheric music of two generations of Mozarts, and join groups of young skaters in music by Waldteuffel and Meyerbeer — in fact, we’ll sample a great many “Winter Pleasures” (a polka by Josef Strauss). Please join us for a musical welcome to the season.
