Webinar Series - Exporting to the U.S.

On December 4th, The Government of Ontario, in partnership with the United States Customs and Border Protection Agency, invites Ontario SMEs for a free one-hour webinar on about the “Do’s and Don’ts” if you are looking to successfully move goods across the border.

In addition, on December 11th; The Government of Ontario, in partnership with the Trade Commissioner Service, is hosting a new exporter preparation session built for Ontario technology and services companies.

The New Exporters of Technologies and Services to the United States (NETSUS) Program builds on an ever-popular New Exporters to Border States (NEBS) Program, which has been helping Ontario companies for 30+ years.

Niagara Parks Announces Transformational Private Sector Investment to Restore and Reimagine Historic Toronto Power Generating Station

On November 27th, Niagara Parks announced the conclusion of the three-stage public procurement process to restore and to redevelop the Toronto Power Generating Station, with Pearle Hospitality named as the successful proponent.

The proposal submitted by Pearle outlines a transformational private sector investment of over $200 million that will restore the National Historic Site overlooking the Horseshoe Falls.

Canada Summer Jobs - Call for Applications

The annual Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program Call for Applications is set to close on December 19th. The CSJ program aims to support 70,000 quality jobs for youth during the 2025 summer season.

Not-for-profit employers can receive a wage subsidy up to 100% of the current provincial or territorial minimum hourly wage. Public and private sector employers are eligible to receive a wage subsidy of up to 50% of the current provincial or territorial minimum hourly wage.
