Davis Accepts Call to VP for Finance Position


On Thursday, November 21, 2024, Eric Davis was elected as Vice President for Finance by a joint meeting of the Oregon Conference Executive Committee and Nominating Committee. North Pacific Union Conference (NPUC) President John Freedman chaired the process. The committee unanimously voted to extend a call, having worked with Davis in our conference previously. Davis immediately accepted.

Davis returns to the Oregon Conference with a wealth of experience, having served here previously as association treasurer and VP for Finance, as well as spending seven years as associate treasurer in the Washington Conference, overseeing 140 properties, preparing financial statements, and drafting use agreements for local entities among other duties there. Remembering Ginny Allen
Ginny Allen, long-time Oregon Conference women’s ministry leader, school nurse, author, and matriarch of Adventist Community Church in Vancouver, passed away on November 12, 2024. Services will be held December 1st, 2:00 PM, at the Adventist Community Church, 9711 NE St. Johns Rd, Vancouver, WA 98665.

Anthony León in Concert at Sunnyside
Sunnyside Adventist Church will welcome internationally acclaimed young tenor, Anthony León in concert on December 7 at 4:00 PM. He has received some of the most prestigious honors in the field of opera and made many important debuts on stages around the world. This Christmas season Anthony will sing the tenor solo for the Messiah and Bach Magnificat in Los Angeles. His sacred music album, “The Holy City” and extensive You Tube channel with sacred, classical, theater and opera performances document his remarkable journey. A Night in Bethlehem
Take part in an interactive outdoor Bethlehem village as the villagers share the story of Jesus birth, December 6 and 7 at Orchards Adventist Church in Vancouver. Marvel as the story spreads throughout the village wonder along with each inhabitant whether this new baby is really the Messiah and what it could mean for the world.
