Anthony Shay – Keynote Speaker

Tony, the former director of Aman and Avaz, will speak about how state-supported folk ensembles influenced the work and inception of the recreational folk dance movement in the US as well as the development of staged folk dance droups throughout America.


Tom Bozigian & Sheree King – Interactive Dance Workshop, Discussion of Armenian Dance

Tom, long time instructor of Armenian Dance, and Sheree direct the Nouveau Chamber Ballet and the Lois Ellyn Ballet Studio. They are currently producing their third presentation of the Nutcracker.


Stacy Rose – Learning Through Game Playing

William (Bill) A. Dentzel – Becoming a Fifth Generation Carousel Maker

Sally Jenkins – Pouparler Archiving and More

Chris Dart – Japanese Obon Dance Workshop


We are also looking forward to students from Brigham young University sharing THE FLAMENCO PROJECT that was realized through the assistance of an NFO Grant. They will share the highlights of the project and engage participants in an exhilarating movement experience.
