Picture this: Velzyland, a legendary North Shore surf spot with pumping waves and razor-sharp reefs. Now imagine our Co-Founder, TiMo, paddling out on  a cherry surfboard, alongside his best friend, Song, armed with nothing but a bodyboard. The duo may or may not have just upgraded from Burger King trays (if you’re scratching your head, you’ll want to check out the article here).

The waves start jacking up—bigger, faster, more intimidating. Panic sets in, just a little. Instead of steering to the right to dodge the reef, they find themselves heading straight for it. What happens next? We’ll let Song tell it:

“TiMo didn’t want to damage the board, so he damaged himself! I mean, it was like instead of him on the board, the board was on him. One big bear hug. That’s kind of how he lives tho—he’s all in, always willing to take one for the team, always one for surf.”

Classic TiMo. True surfers know the board is sacred—it’s part of the ride, the lifestyle, the legacy. Catching up and reminiscing on stories like these? Nothing beats it. 🌊🤙

This week, we’re featuring Kaelani, a talented rider and surf instructor who embodies the true spirit of the islands. Did you know? The name Kaelani means "the heavens, sky," or "royal one"—a nod to ancient Hawaiians who saw Kaelani as a title for the noble and divine. Fitting, right? You’ve got to have a connection to the heavens to dance with the waves. 🌅🏄

We had the chance to talk story with Kaelani, and this weekend, he’s heading to the North Shore to put TIOIT TraXion to the test. Armed with his GoPro, he’s ready to capture the action, so stay tuned for footage and his firsthand review of how TIOIT performs on those legendary breaks. 🎥🤙
