Audit Committee Openings

We are looking for 2 individuals to serve on our audit committee. This committee will perform a non-formal audit of the chamber’s finances once every three years (or when there is a change in treasurer). The commitment level is fairly low since this is not done often.

If you are interested in any of the following opportunities, please contact any board member, call 207-377-8020, or email linda@winthropchamber.org.

⏳Don’t Miss the Deadline! ⏳

The next WLRCC Newsletter will go out to inboxes on Friday, January 3.

We invite you to submit materials, announcements, and ads for this community publication for FREE to news@winthropchamber.org by Friday, December 20, at 5 PM. Submissions made after the deadline will incur a charge of $25.

WMHS 4th Annual Cookie Walk

Friday, December 13, from Noon - 7 PM

Saturday, December 14, from 10 AM - 4 PM

Winthrop History and Heritage Center (107 Main Street)

Get ready for the 4th annual WMHS Cookie Walk! This year's event promises to be even better than last year's, which nearly sold out despite a schedule change caused by a snowstorm. You'll be supporting a great cause: covering operational costs for the Center. So come on out and indulge in some delicious treats for yourself or to share with others while contributing to the community!

NEW THIS YEAR at the Cookie Walk

From 3-4pm, local author Karen Richards Toothaker will be reading Christmas Story and Make & Take Time, sharing stories old and new! Karen’s other books will also be available for purchase and signing/personalization.

Volunteer Bakers Needed!

Want to spread some holiday cheer? Become a volunteer baker for our Cookie Walk! Popularly requested items are holiday cookies, cookie bars, fudge, small bread loaves, and holiday-themed snacks. Thanks to one of our awesome volunteers, we will have plenty of chocolate chip cookies!

Cookies need to arrive already wrapped in plastic or portioned into individual bags of Ideally 2-3 cookies per bag. Please affix labels noting the cookie type and any special ingredients, like nuts, gluten-free, egg-free, etc. Let us know what you plan to bring so we can mark you down.

Cookie Drop-Off Times:

Thursday, December 12, from 10 AM - 6 PM

Friday, December 13, after 9 AM
