The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception invites the dioceses of the United States to join in pealing their cathedral and church bells at 11 AM PST this Saturday, December 7. The timing will coincide with the Rite of Opening the Doors of the Cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris, whose doors have been closed since it was ravaged by a fire on April 15, 2019. Archbishop Timothy P. Broglio, USCCB president, has offered his support of this effort.
The USCCB invites all local churches in the U.S. to share these social media graphics with your respective parish. We welcome all parishes in the Archdiocese of Seattle to peal their bells in this gesture of unity and hope.
