Keeping Our Oregon Conference Students Safe


Our hearts are heavy as we extend our deepest condolences to the families and friends of the two young victims of the tragic shooting that occurred yesterday at Feather River Adventist School in California. We are keeping the Feather River community in prayer in the wake of this senseless act of violence.

The Oregon Conference Department of Education oversees 32 schools and early learning centers.

In light of this tragic event, we want to reassure all our constituents that the safety and well-being of our students, teachers, and staff remain our highest priority. We are rededicating ourselves to ensuring that our schools are safe havens where learning and growth can flourish without fear. Anthony León in Concert at Sunnyside
Sunnyside Adventist Church will welcome internationally acclaimed young tenor, Anthony León in concert on December 7 at 4:00 PM. He has received some of the most prestigious honors in the field of opera and made many important debuts on stages around the world. This Christmas season Anthony will sing the tenor solo for the Messiah and Bach Magnificat in Los Angeles. His sacred music album, “The Holy City” and extensive You Tube channel with sacred, classical, theater and opera performances document his remarkable journey. A Night in Bethlehem
Take part in an interactive outdoor Bethlehem village as the villagers share the story of Jesus birth, December 6 and 7 at Orchards Adventist Church in Vancouver. Marvel as the story spreads throughout the village wonder along with each inhabitant whether this new baby is really the Messiah and what it could mean for the world. Journey to the Nativity at Sunnyside
Sunnyside’s Christmas musical, “Journey to the Nativity,” will be presented on Friday, December 13, at 7:00 PM, and again on Sabbath December 14, at 11:15 AM at Sunnyside Adventist Church. Jaime Jorge Concerts
Jaime Jorge will share his forceful, expressive mastery of the violin, which has delighted audiences around the globe, at both the Albany Adventist Church on December 9 at 7:00 PM and at the Crosspoint Adventist Church on December 12, 7:00 PM. Jaime has dedicated his talents to sharing the love of God through sacred and classical concerts and special appearances the world over, and you're invited to bring family and friends to welcome in the Christmas season with Jaime's concert of music focusing on the birth of Jesus. This concert is free to all attendees.

PAA Christmas Vespers Concert
Please join us on Friday, December 6 at 7:00 PM for our annual Christmas music program.  All our music ensembles, including Performance & Production class, Band, PASO (strings), Bel Canto (handbells), Choir, and Alegria (select choir)  will perform.  Come celebrate the Season with PAA at Sunnyside Adventist Church located at 10501 SE Market Street, Portland.
