U of T ranked world’s most sustainable university second year in a row
The 2025 edition of the QS World University Rankings: Sustainability ranked U of T first out of more than 1,500 institutions across 95 countries. Read more

Watch for drilling on campus

Borehole drilling related to storm, sanitary and water system upgrades will be done on campus from now until 7 p.m. on Dec. 23. Locations include The Collegeway, Residence Road, Outer Circle, Inner Circle, Middle Road, Parking Lots 4 and 8, as well as the Five Minute Walk. Large vehicles will be on site for an estimated three hours per borehole. Help advise on UTM VPP appointment
Alexandra Gillespie's five-year term as vice-president, University of Toronto and principal, University of Toronto Mississauga, will end on Dec. 31, 2025. Gillespie is eligible for reappointment.
Nominations are now being accepted for individuals to serve on a committee that will advise on the appointment of a vice-president and principal. Nominations are due by Dec. 20 at 5 p.m. using the confidential online form. Self-nominations are allowed. For questions, contact sheree.drummond@utoronto.ca or 416-978-2118.
What's open, what's closed at UTM over the holidays
University of Toronto Mississauga will be closed for the holidays from Dec. 23 at 11 p.m., to Jan. 6 at 6 a.m. All UTM community members that currently hold keycard access will be able to access spaces they already have access to during the holiday closure. Paid parking and enforcement remain in effect at all times. The Recreation, Athletics & Wellness Centre will be closed from Dec. 24, reopening at 10 a.m. on Jan. 4Read more
Help grow the Mitten Tree
Donate winter accessories to support women and their families through the UTM Library Mitten Tree. Donations of non-perishable food are also welcome.
Donations will be accepted until Jan. 10, and can also be dropped off at the library’s information and loans desk. Read more

Professor Bill Gough’s interim role as UTM vice-principal, academic and dean, has been extend until Dec. 31, 2025. Gough has been serving as dean of UTM since Nov. 1, drawing on his nearly decade-long experience as dean at UTSC.
