Coming off the weekend of holiday feasting, we’ll get right into it with two quick announcements before the main menu of new research.
First, tomorrow (December 3) is the capstone for our Fall 2024 Global Inequality Research Initiative—centered this semester on topics of Environmental Justice and taught by Professor Kay Jowers. To see the students’ projects into topics of inequality, please join us in the Rubenstein Library in Holsti-Anderson Room 153 at 10:30 AM.
Second, one of our Young Scholars—from the Hank and Billye Suber Aaron Young Scholars Summer Research Institute—was just named Durham Public Schools’ Student of the Month! A hearty congratulations to Alina Azhar, a senior at J.D. Clement Early College High School who was just in Cohort 2 of our program this past summer! Read more about Alina’s story here.
