HeatSource Heat Networks in Action Round Up

It was a full room for the HeatSource 'Heat Networks in Action' event in Aberdeen last week. We heard from a number of fantastic speakers from The Scottish Government, The Scottish National Investment Bank, Aberdeen City Council, Vital Energi, Sav Systems, Kensa and GREN . On day two, we got to see this learning in action on a tour of two local heat networks.  We visited the Torry Heat Network and Energy Centre served by the NESS Energy from Waste Plant and serving around 800 homes in the area and the Energy Centre in Tillydrone operated by Aberdeen Heat and Power that supplies heat and power to seven multi-storey residential blocks, a school, church and health hub.

Over both days we had a number of in depth discussions on accelerating heat network deployment, funding and finance and engaging communities in the clean heat transition.
