Hello Friends,
As 2024 comes to a close and we send out our final newsletter of the year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible support and energy from our community partners and volunteers. This fall, we wrapped up our busiest tree-planting season yet with joyful events at local schools and parks. You might have seen some of the highlights!
We also had our biggest-ever Adopt-A-Park (AAP) season, featuring two monthly activations at Rio Salado Habitat Restoration Area. If you missed out, no worries—we’ll be back in full swing this Spring. A special shoutout to Audubon Southwest for partnering with us and adding a wonderful new touch of bird walks to our AAP events!
As we wind down, the AZSA team is taking a well-earned Winter break through New Year’s Day. We ended the year on a high note with a cozy holiday gathering for our staff, board members, and some of our amazing volunteers and interns. We’re endlessly grateful for the support of our funding partners, who make our mission possible year-round.
From all of us at AZSA, we wish you a season filled with health, happiness, and cherished moments with your loved ones. Here’s to a bright and hopeful 2025—see you soon!
Warmest wishes and see you in the community!
