The River Walk is Open! Join Out There this Saturday: January 25th @2pm for a walk along the renowned River Walk as we take in the entirety of the Assiniboine River walkway. We will meet outside the Travel Manitoba Visitors Centre starting at 1:45pm, before departing at 2pm sharp. We will descend down to the Assiniboine River from the market and head along the river trail going west. At it's full length, the groomed part of this trail ends at the Maryland Bridge. Out and back, this trail is a little under 6km, and should take roughly one and a half hours.If you wish to stick around after for a hot beverage, please join us. Registration?: No. Simply meet us in the Forks Market. Cost: A loonie donation to Out There is requested. Parking:Parking at The Forks always carries a cost. With some research, you can find free street parking in the area. Bus: There are buses with stops by MTYP at the Forks or along Main Street at the Via Rail Station. Weather: The bitter cold will have broken giving way for above average temperatures. Dress comfortably. Trail: Though these trails are well groomed, it is ice underneath. Please wear winter ready footwear. Guests:This is a 2SLGBTQIA+ event. Guests should be community members or allies. Dogs: Dogs are welcome to join the walk, but be aware non-service animals are not permitted inside the market.
