Snow sculpting kicks off Vinterfest 2025 at ND Heritage Center & State Museum

BISMARCK, N.D. — The public is invited to kick off Vinterfest 2025 on Sunday, Jan. 19, 1-4 p.m. at the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum in Bismarck. Spend the afternoon indulging in frosty fun while marveling at a larger-than-life snow sculpture and trying your hand at snow carving during interactive demonstrations with professional snow sculptors. This family-friendly event is free and open to all ages.

Warm up indoors with make-and-take crafts, treat yourself to hot chocolate and a snack, and learn more about Vinterfest.

For more information, contact Education and Engagement Manager Laura Forde, shsprograms@nd.gov or 701.328.2792. The ND Heritage Center & State Museum is open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., and Saturday-Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Find upcoming State Historical Society of North Dakota events at history.nd.gov/events.
