SKI PINES RETREAT
A Women’s Yoga & Snowshoe/Hiking Weekend Retreat
Friday, February 7, 8 & 9, 2024 in Franconia, NH
We are headed back to the White Mountains for our 2nd annual Ski Pines Retreat!
Ski pines was a family owned boarding house for travelers and skiers back in the 1930’s & 40’s. Located just minutes away from Cannon Mountain, Franconia State Park and numerous hiking trails in the White Mountain National Forest. It was owned and operated by Rosalind “Rozzie” Smith Holt. She offered guests room and board and for an additional fee she would pack a brown bag lunch for them to take to the ski slopes. Evenings were spent around the fireplace exchanging stories, playing games and reading.
Today, Ski Pines is owned by the same family, granddaughters of the original owner. It remains a cozy and welcoming gathering place after adventures in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
We invite you to join us for this yoga retreat and outdoor adventure women’s weekend!
Our retreat will offer:
~ comfortable lodging in a private home with a rich history
~ daily yoga classes
~ meals and snacks
~ outdoor hiking (or snowshoeing) on local trails
~ gatherings around the fireplace, and unstructured time for reading, journaling, sketching, knitting, playing ping pong or star gazing!
Your hosts for the weekend will be Shelley Snodgrass Robinson and Karen Mairs. Shelley is an artist and RYT 200 yoga teacher. She has been teaching yoga for 8 years in the styles of vinyasa, slow flow, yin and restorative. Karen is a registered Maine guide, avid outdoor enthusiast and granddaughter of the original owner of Ski Pines.
Ski Pines offers 4 bedrooms (2 with a full size bed, 2 with a queen size bed) and two bathrooms. Each guest will have a private room and will share bathrooms. (If you want to share a room with a friend, just let us know.) Shelley and Karen will be cooking your homestyle meals on site. (Please let us know of any food restrictions when signing up.)
Cost for the entire retreat weekend is $550. per person. Space is limited, so please let us know right away, if you would like to share this weekend with us!

Sample Itinerary
(Outdoor activities are weather dependent. Schedule may change slightly to take advantage of good weather!)
Day 1
4:30-5pm Arrival
5:15-6:15 Gentle Yoga with Shelley
6:15pm Appetizers
7pm Dinner
After dinner free time to gather around the fire, knit, read, star gaze, play ping pong, etc
Day 2
7am Water, coffee, tea, light snacks available
7:30-8:30am Slow Flow Yoga with Shelley
9am Breakfast
10:00am Depart for hike or snowshoe
*Hikes will be on easy to moderate trails depending on weather conditions and comfort and skill of participants. Our intention is to spend time outside in a mindful, respectful way. You are welcome to bring a camera, journal or sketchbook. We will pack a lunch for the trail.
