MAKING MOBILITY MOVES

An update on all things Autotech
Winter 2025
In the transportation and mobility world, things are always in motion — literally. And 2025 is no different: this year is already shaping up to be one of incredible change, with many promising developments coming.

Our 2025 Emerging Transport & Mobility Trends Report breaks down game-changing innovations on the horizon and highlights key trends that will shape our future.

Here are some key areas of interest from our deal team:
Trend #1: Rise of the robots
Deep tech, automation, and AI-powered solutions are driving innovation across manufacturing, logistics, and fleet operations. These advancements are accelerating in response to labor shortages and reshoring efforts, redefining industry standards.
Trend #2: AI will connect the dots
Digitization left manufacturing sites and lines disconnected, with fragmented tech decisions impacting enterprise optimization and slowing global expansions. Past ERP failures have made leaders cautious, but next-gen AI can quickly bridge silos and enable scalable solutions.
Trend #3: AI transitions to service-as-software push
There are exciting opportunities in logistics in AI-driven service-as-software models and interconnected AI agents, which will reshape supply chain operations by enhancing operational efficiency while providing resilience to labor shortages.
Trend #4: Used EVs will shake up the market
Electrification and fleet management dominate vehicle systems startup activity, while retail and aftermarket sectors face disruption with the influx of used EVs, challenging warranty models, and resale dynamics. Setting residual values for ICE and EVs will become more complex. Software-defined vehicles will enable remote data access and we anticipate a transformation in extended warranties.
