OPEN CALL FOR WORKSHOP PRESENTERS & CULTURE DAYS
Share Your Skills at the Niagara Falls Exchange : Meet Ups, Masterclasses & Pop-Up Workshops
The Exchange will be hosting Workshop Weekends! We invite applications for innovative sessions (workshops, crafting, artist tutorials, talks, etc) to be presented at the Exchange Cultural Hub in Niagara Falls. 
The Niagara Falls Exchange invites artists, crafters and leaders in the community to share workshop and programme ideas for our culture building sessions. These programs are exciting opportunities for everyone to learn from passionate presenters like you to develop their skills, explore interests and create fun projects.
Workshop Weekends will be one day per month, between May and November 2025.
Applications will also be accepted from this Call for Culture Days; Oct 3, 4 & 5, 2025.
Call Dates:
Monday February 3 – Monday March 17, 2025.
Selected applicants will be notified by May, 2025. Applications will also be kept on file for potential referral. Application Form

EXCHANGE GALLERY SUBMISSIONS

Attention Artists! Share your work at the Exchange! The Gallery at the Exchange is a 17’ x 11’ white cube space for rent, located on the second floor near the artist studios. The fee for a Collective or Solo show is $200 for one month. ONLY A COUPLE SPACES LEFT FOR 2025!
Openings are held by the City on the 1st Friday of each month and a bar and DJ are supplied.

ALLISTER YOUNG ARTS & CULTURE ENDOWNMENT FUND
The City of Niagara Falls Culture Committee invites interested individuals to apply to the Allister Young Arts & Culture Endowment Fund. Application Form
In 1997, Mr. Allister Young donated a 1932 Ford Roadster to the then Arts and Culture Commission. The car was raffled off and the money raised from the sale of tickets was used to establish an Arts and Culture Endowment Fund to support artistic development.
The annual deadline for submissions is March 15th of each year.
One award of $1000 will be awarded to one individual per year.

APPLICATIONS OPEN FOR ARTIST STUDIOS
Applications are reviewed bi-annually. The studios offer competitive rates for artists and makers to create visual arts.  They are high-quality spaces conducive to artists' needs in terms of ceiling heights, lighting, ventilation, freight elevator, finishing areas, some tools, fume hood, washing station and disposal area.  INFO 

WOODWORKING SHOP MEMBERSHIP
The woodworking studio is located on the Exchange's main floor, prioritizing creating an accessible creator space for the community. It provides anyone interested in woodworking with the materials and tools required to complete projects. It is a space for amateur woodworkers to explore their potential. It also provides space for those who have downsized their tools and woodworking area to get reintroduced to woodworking, and it provides creators with the equipment to produce work that can be sold. The space is staffed by skilled woodworkers who can assist in projects and run workshops for new and experienced woodworkers. DETAILS

NFXplore

The Atrium Gallery is proud to present NFXplore, a vibrant group exhibition showcasing the talents of 10 local artists who call the building's studios their creative home. This dynamic show features a diverse range of artworks, highlighting the unique perspectives and styles of these talented artists.
On display will be works by NFX studio artists; Aidan Frenette, Ashley Marazzo, Dillon Douglas, Felix Abcede, Jon Shaw, Joshua Simpson, Lindsay-Ann Chilcott, Marsha Drew, Rogerio Voltan Almeida, Samantha Fickel, Sarah Carter and Steve Wilson.

Smiljana Petranovic - What Art Gives Me-I Hope To Share With You

The Upper-level Exchange Gallery hosts a monthly rotation of artists from the Exchange Studios and Niagara Region. They open the 1st Friday of the month and host artists, local DJ’s and local craft beverages for all to enjoy.

Maria Virginia Parra Sanchez - Whale's Burden
The Niagara Falls Exchange Mini-Gallery showcases the miniature artworks of artists from the Exchange as well as from Niagara Falls residents. It is a project that travels every two months to a different building in the city.

PD DAY: KNIGHT @ THE MUSEUM
Attention lords and ladies! Join the Knights of Blackthorn Productions for an exploration of the Middle Ages! Touch and try on medieval armour, check out the weapons of the time and learn how they would be used. Ask your questions of these costumed characters and feel like you have been transported back in time, in the Exchange.
 After the show, explore the Museum galleries and complete a scavenger hunt.

WOODWORKING WORKSHOP: BOOK REST
Calling all book enthusiasts!  Elevate your reading experience by building your very own book rest. This beautiful and functional piece will hold your spot in a book, a tablet and comes with a built-in cup rest! The book rest will be 12” long with a 4.5” x 6.5” rest.
Enjoy a hands-on experience using handheld power tools, guided by our skilled wood technicians. No prior woodworking experience needed—just your creativity and love for reading!

The Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy is a chilling experience dedicated to the stories of Edgar Allan Poe. The event takes place inside a dark speakeasy. Four of his most famous stories will be retold and reimagined by our Poe historians. Our macabre lead mixologist will transform each of those stories into a 4-part cocktail experience.
