Utility Dive - According to a new report from the Nicholas Institute for Energy, Environment & Sustainability, the existing U.S. grid can handle significant new loads such as data centers, factories, and electric vehicles, as long as they can be curtailed when the electric system is stressed.
Politico - A group of state attorneys general have accused the Trump administration of continuing to block access to federal funding for state climate programs, despite a court order to unfreeze federal funds.
Inside Climate News - A letter signed by mayors and local leaders across 39 states is calling on Congress to protect all clean energy tax credits made available to state and local governments, which had been responsible for creating thousands of jobs and billions of dollars in investments before President Trump froze the funds.
LAist - In renewable energy, the holy grail is a source of energy that is always available. Solar and wind power might be the most common, but there are times when they don’t work because the sun is down and the wind is calm. Ocean waves, especially in Southern California, come in steady supply.
