“The Purpose of the Scout Movement is to contribute to the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual potentials as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.”

That is a lot of words, what does it really mean?

7:30 pm Wednesday 19th February

The session will last ~60 minutes.

Session Content:

The Achievement Pathways are the way we recognise personal progression for individual Scouts and include a range of different elements.  From the beginning of the Joey Scout Section through to the end of the Rover Scout Section, the Achievement Pathways fit within the one journey model of Scouting. The framework features a continuous series of personal achievement across the whole program.

And most importantly, it’s the journey that matters most.

The Scout Group uses the online system Terrain to track youth members personal progression. Through Terrain you can participate in your child’s personal progression and easily see what tasks they need to complete to reach their badgework goals.

Come along and learn more about Achievement Pathways and how you can support your child with their achievement through Scouting. Please bring along any
Summer Bunnings BBQ Fundraisers

The Reynella Scout Group held two Fundraising BBQs are Reynella Bunnings over the summer period raising $3171.40. Thank you to those families that supported these, the profits of these BBQs will be used to purchase additional camping equipment to support our outdoor programs.

Our next Fundraising BBQ at Bunnings Reynella is planned for Sunday 27th April 2025. Stay tuned for more information.
Hall Improvement Projects in 2025

The Reynella Scout Group have identified the following improvement projects for 2025. We intend to fund these projects with the support of grants.
  • Replacing Flooring within the Scout Hall
  • Installing Outside Sinks for Craft / Cooking
  • Installing Backyard Lighting
Are you (or someone you know) able to support us with quoting one of these jobs? Please reach out to Kathryn (Group Leader) (0413 448 056 / gl.reynella@sa.scouts.com.au) if so. Two quotes will be sought for each job to ensure price competitiveness.

These improvement projects have been supported by both the Leaders and the Group Support Committee.
Family Camp

The Reynella Scout Group Family Camp has been a fixture in our Term One calendar since 2021. Since our last Family Camp Scouts SA has reviewed their overnight activity policies and we are still working to understand how this will effect the operation of our Family Camp. We are hopeful we will be able to hold our Family Camp in Term Three.
