News

Dear readers,

Over the last few months, we have been busy improving our services and website, and today we share several important announcements.

Firstly, we have moved our organisational arrangements, reregistering with the International Sport and Culture Association (ISCA). This strategic alliance aims to ensure sport better serves all in society, with a focus on strengthening impact and collaboration in sport for development. It follows 20 years of positive collaboration with the Swiss Academy for Development, who we also pay tribute to in this newsletter.

We're also pleased to announce we have opened enrollments for the French version of our online course, Sport for Sustainable Development: Designing Effective Policies and Programmes. The course starts on 16 October, and follows our strategy to improve access to knowledge and resources globally. We will have further announcements in the coming weeks, so watch this space!

Finally, participatory approaches help projects meet the needs of the communities they work with. We have published a website section on Living Labs, which are one way to involve participants and partners in project design and implementation, and we are also keen to hear about your expertise and experiences. We are accepting articles on participatory approaches in sport for development until 15 November.

Happy reading,

The sportanddev team
