This lecture is a deep dive into the multiple ways you can add beads to your knitting. Laura Nelkin will look at methods for working with pre-strung beads and place beads, and how to decide which method to use. She’ll discuss choosing beads and yarn, along with how to look at an existing pattern in your library and how to add beads to it. Are you ready to add a little bling to your knitting? Laura Nelkin is a prolific and innovative knitwear designer with a passion for knitting with beads.

In-person show and tell, bring your FOs and have your pattern name and yarn details ready. We know you have much to show off, but please limit your items to one per meeting.

Virtual attendees, submit your photos! Please include your pattern name, yarn details and anything special about the project. Email your photos to showandtell@puddletownknittersguild.com before you go to bed on Tuesday before the meeting.

Volunteer for PKG at the Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival

We will be hosting a table at OFFF this year to promote Guild Membership and we’re looking for YOU to help! Volunteer for an hour or two on Saturday, October 14^th, 9am-5pm or Sunday, October 15^th, 9am-4pm. The Guild's official service project for 2023 is knitting for foster children and families for our partners Boxes of Love and With Love.

Diverse Dolls for Foster Kids prize winners will be announced at the October meeting. Baby blanket challenge continues until November!
