Books, Books, and More Books!

Can one have too many books?

The answer is  . . . well, sometimes. The most difficult part of downsizing a few years ago was finding a new home for about a thousand books, at least those that were treasures to me. I didn't have quite as much trouble giving up a few of Bill's books on the philosophical analysis of Emanuel Kant or Bertram Russell.

At the Nichols' Nest, you would find books in lots of places--bookshelves, scattered on tables, stacked on the floor, in baskets, lining window sills, and other out of the way places. Why we even use books for bookends.

Recently, I was invited by some of my writer friends to join them in a promotion of our new releases. After I looked at the list and the books, I was delighted to jump in. These are writers and books that I enjoy, and I think you might enjoy them too. So I'm introducing them to you.

And don't forget! Christmas at Bar Haven will be released on October 31. Bill did another stellar job on the painting that became the book cover. And by the way, he hand carved the pumpkin in the photo below. It's one of those treasures I'd grab if the house caught on fire.

I seem to always have space for a new book. I hope you do too. Simply follow this link, and you might find a new author or a few books to bring you further delight on these autumn afternoons.
