In recognition of their 20th year, CISA announced a new enduring cybersecurity awareness program, Secure Our World. Secure Our World reflects a new enduring message to be integrated across the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s (CISA) awareness campaigns and programs, and encourages all of us to take action each day to protect ourselves when online or using connected devices.


The program promotes behavioral change across the Nation, with a particular focus on how individuals, families and small to medium-sized businesses can Secure Our World by focusing on the four critical actions below. Secure Our World is the theme for this year’s Cybersecurity Awareness Month and will remain the enduring theme for future awareness month campaigns.

This year ISACA will co-host the Annual Audit Conference Tuesday, 11/7/23 through Thursday, 11/9/23 at Embassy Suites in Columbia, SC.


ISACA will offer 20 CPEs with internal audit, fraud, and IT training as well as CIA and CISA exam review courses for as low as $25.00 per CPE hour (See rates below)


Track 1 – Audit Track


Scott Langlinais, CPA, will lead “Detecting Fraud Using Data Analysis” on Tuesday, 11/7/23 and “Detecting Fraud in Payroll and Human Resources” on Wednesday, 11/8/23.  These courses focus on data analytics and newer technologies among other attributes.   Track 1 participants will attend a “General Session” on Thursday, 11/9/23 offering pertinent topics including ethics and fraud (see below).


Track 2 – IT Track


Mark Thomas, CGEIT CRISC CDPSE, COBIT Assessor, will lead “Creating a Tailored Assurance Program in a High Velocity Digital Environment” for the IT track on Tuesday and Wednesday, 11/7/23 through 11/8/23.  Track 2 participants will also attend the “General Session” on Thursday, 11/9/23.


Track 3 – CISA Exam Review Track


K. Bryan Kelley, CISA, CDPSE, CSPO, MCSE, Security+, former Microsoft Data Platform MVP (2009-16), will teach the 'CISA Exam Review Course' Tuesday through Thursday, 11/7/23 - 11/9/23.


Track 4 – CIA Exam Review Track


Garland Granger, CPA, CIA, CFE, came out of retirement for us to teach the 'CIA Exam Review Course' on Tuesday and Wednesday, 11/7/23 and 11/8/23.  Track 4 participants will join in the General Session on Thursday, 11/9/23.


General Session


The “General Session” on Thursday, 11/9/23 will provide 4 CPE hours on 'Ethics: What's Missing?'(1 CPE); 'Detecting Deception in Workplace Investigations' (1 CPE); and “Forensic Statement Analysis' (2 CPEs) taught by Zane Kinney, CFE, PI.
