Collaborative Communities: Digital Tools for Collaboration

Find helpful tools to manage projects with colleagues, share resources, and reflect on your growth!

How do you harness digital tools to jumpstart your own professional development? Try creating a digital portfolio using a platform like Catalyst, a free, online, social portfolio for language educators! A tool like Catalyst can help you to reflect, identify your strengths, and continue to grow as an educator.

Catalyst is a collaborative project* developed by CASLS and Professionals in Education Advancing Research and Language Learning (PEARLL), and it is a great tool for fostering ongoing learning and developing one’s professional capacities.

With helpful information and a community of like-minded, engaged language educators, Catalyst provides a context for learning about best practices, a place to track your progress, and a platform to connect with other educators around the world – all rooted in the Teacher Effectiveness for Language Learning (TELL) framework.
