  2. Church Calendar
  3. Minutes from Last Month's Parish Committee Meeting

Dear Friends,

We are now well into the second month of the new church year and I’m adjusting to the pace of my increased scope of ministry. I enjoyed the opportunity to participate in the lay-led Peace Sunday service, and I’m excited to have time to offer the new Windows on Worship small group, beginning this Sunday. (Registration is now full. If you missed the opportunity, I encourage you to consider the monthly online Vespers service, held the first Wednesday of each month at 7 pm.) These are two significant ways that I have more capacity.

My schedule remains part-time, having increased from half to three-quarter time. I am “on” for  three-full time weeks followed by a fourth “off” week. Next week is my “off” week. During this time, you won’t see me at church and I won’t be available for appointments. I will be available for pastoral emergencies and to monitor email intermittently, so do reach out if you need to.

Lastly, I have taken on the task of submitting a monthly Minister’s Report to the Parish Committee. We will make these available on the Members Only section of the website. You can view my first report here. If you need the Members Only login credentials, please email our Office Administrator, McKayla Hoffman at firstparishbridgewater@gmail.com.

Many thanks for all the ways you engage in the vitality of this warm and caring spiritual community. It’s my pleasure to serve with you.

In faith,

Rev. Jennifer

Turning Heat Off

Now that we're getting into the chillier season (#yayfall!), please be mindful about the building opening and closing procedures.

When leaving the building, please make sure that:
  • The thermostat should be turned off completely at the back of the Upper Parish Hall.
  • The thermostat in the Lower Parish Hall (next to the door to the kitchen) should be set to 60.
  • The heater in the office should be turned all the way down to "L."
With soaring oil and gas prices, your attention to ensuring the heat is completely turned off is vital to First Parish. Thank you for your cooperation, and please reach out to Tom St. Thomas, Chair of Facilities, with any questions.
