From the Principal’s Desk

It's been a week of awards and meaningful moments. Awards galore!

Music Awards Assembly

A huge congratulations to our music stars. We celebrated outstanding talents and we are proud of every student who poured their heart into their musical journey this year.  We commend you on the accomplishments and the awards you have received.

Sports Award Assembly

This assembly was evidence that this year has been exceptional in terms of talent, dedication, and sportsmanship. Congratulations to all the awardees.  It was also inspirational to hear our guest speaker, South African field hockey player Lenise Marais, who encouraged our learners to strive for satisfaction, not perfection.

Gratitude for Service, Leadership and House Assembly

This is an assembly that underlines the core values of our institution. It was wonderful to hand over certificates of appreciation to all the matrics who have served in societies and services over the past few years.  This assembly also saw us welcoming the new school leaders to take over the leadership mantle from the outgoing Matrics. To all who received awards and to our outgoing leaders, your dedication and enthusiasm have made this year a pleasure.

To the 2024 Matric Leaders in the houses. Your journey of leading and guiding your peers is invaluable. We wish you the very best in this role. Thanks also go to the Head and Assistant Head of each house for their tireless efforts, input, and unwavering encouragement.

Farewell, Matric Learners!

Next week marks the end of the school journey for our fantastic Matric class. Their journey in our passages, classrooms, on the sports fields, and on stage might be concluding, but their legacy will echo for years to come. We wish them all the best as they begin their final exams and then enter the next chapter of their lives.

Awards Ceremony & Valedictory

Next Friday, 20 October will be a morning of recognition and celebration that awaits our Matric learners. We look forward to applauding their achievements, resilience, and talents.

Jabulani Evening – A Heartfelt Thank You

We'd like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to making the Jabulani evening a grand success. The spirit of unity, culture, and togetherness was evident, and we couldn't have done it without the concerted efforts of the Matric Leaders.

A Feather in Our Cap: Top School in South Africa

We are proud to announce that Rustenburg has been recognised as the Top School in South Africa among Quintile 5 schools. This accolade is not just a testament to our dedication to excellence, but it's a reflection of the hard work, commitment, and passion of our learners, teachers, and staff.

To the Matric Class of 2022, a huge congratulations! This achievement is as much yours as it is ours. Your diligence, enthusiasm, and pursuit of knowledge have placed our school on this esteemed pedestal.

We'd also like to extend our gratitude to the dedicated staff members of RGHS and the junior schools that laid the foundations for our learners. This accomplishment reflects the collective efforts of a broader educational community.
