  • Andy Stutzman is tackling digital equity at the national level - Trenton area-based Andy Stutzman, previously project director at Drexel University and director of operations at Drexel’s ExCITe Center, is the new executive director of Next Century Cities (NCC). The national organization is focused on connecting its member organizations and municipalities with the mission of affordable broadband adoption and digital equity and inclusion for everyone. NCC also aims to lift up local leaders in the digital equity space, Stutzman told Technical.ly.
  • What's New in Digital Equity: Digital Inclusion Week Is Here - Digital Inclusion Week is an annual event in which individuals and organizations across the country spread awareness of digital inclusion and equity work, doing so with events, celebrations, announcements and other actions. Now in its seventh year, the week continues to expand. The National Digital Inclusion Alliance — the organizing body — reports that last year 38 organizations, agencies, tribes and others took action, making it the largest Digital Inclusion Week yet. Organizers are hoping to exceed those numbers this year.
  • Kidsburgh: STEM Coding Lab providing computer classes in schools around the region - PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- When most of us were in school, we took science classes like biology and chemistry, but computer science may be even more important for today's kids. Yet nearly 90% of kindergarten through eighth grade students don't have access to computer science classes. KDKA-TV's Kristine Sorensen visited a local school where the nonprofit STEM Coding Lab is providing computer classes there and in schools around the region.
